Something I've learnt since taking up photography is patience. Even on the gloomiest of days if you wait long enough you could be rewarded with a little bit of magic, a break in the clouds, or some sun rays breaking through or even some passing wildlife. This wasn't the best day for photography. Very overcast with very low light and at times very uninspiring. After a while though the clouds began to open up letting just enough light through to bathe the scene with a very soft diffused light. This is one of my favourite shots of late. I loved the overall mood with the sky and that mist in the distance just slightly obscuring the view. The cows huddled together enjoying their winter feed provided my foreground interest and I loved their contrasting colours and how they blended into the scene.
