Description:
|
Main altar at Basílica de los Ángeles, Costa Rica. This church is dedicated to the Virgin of the Angels, saint patron of Costa Rica. On 1636 a small clay stature appeared in this very same spot to the indian girl Juana Pereira. The spitir of the Holy Virgin was impresonated on the statue. She commanded to build a church on the same spot, and as a signal, water began to pour from a rock. The water stills flow, refreshing our faith everyday.
